Congress Holds Historic Hearing on UAP
For the first time in over 50 years, the U.S. Congress held a public hearing on UFOs. On Tuesday, May 17th, a subcommittee of the House Intelligence Committee heard testimony from two Pentagon officials on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena.
The hour and a half public hearing was followed by a closed congressional hearing to continue the conversation on UAP in a classified setting. Throughout the public hearing though, many UFO-related terms were mentioned. Among those mentioned were Roswell, Malmstrom AFB Incident, UFOs, UAP, Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, Space Force, AATIP, Project Blue Book, Extraterrestrials, and Aliens.
The hearing, which began at 9 A.M. EST, amassed a live viewership of about 25,000 people. Since then, the House Intelligence’s broadcast of the hearing has gained hundreds of thousands more views on YouTube.
International news media has been covering the hearing heavily, and consequently, the discussion of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena has once again entered the mainstream media in a big way. UFOs and #UAPtwitter were among the top trending topics on Twitter for some time immediately after the hearing.
